June 2017: The theme of the 2017 London Festival of Architecture is ‘memory’. On Saturday 10th June Edmund Wilson joined Nick Comley and Boris Witzenfeld of Hoxton Hall to give public tours of this East End landmark. The tours covered different aspects of the Music Hall’s memory including its architecture and performers. Visitors were informed of secret passages, ghosts, actors, music and art, with a unique back stage view of the working Music Hall.

The Heritage Lottery funded project by Foster Wilson Architects has restored this remarkable Grade II* listed Music Hall and un-covered fascinating aspects of its history. Built in 1863, Hoxton Hall is one of the last surviving Music Halls still to be used as a performance venue.
